David Edgerton is a historian of science and technology and of twentieth-century Britain. He teaches in the History Department at King's College London, where he is Hans Rausing Professor of the History of Science and Technology and Professor of Modern British History. He was the founding director of the Centre for the History of Science, Technology and Medicine now at King's College London.
He was educated at St. John's College Oxford and Imperial College London, and has taught at the University of Manchester, Imperial College and now King's College London. He is a Fellow of the British Academy.
